Jane is a senior clinical researcher at the University of Oxford and Consultant Psychiatrist in the Oxford Psychological Medicine clinical service.
She is originally from Cumbria and trained in medicine at the University of Edinburgh before specialising in psychiatry.
Jane’s research includes a number of systematic reviews as well as large epidemiological studies of the prevalence of depression and other symptoms in patients with serious medical illnesses. She has particular expertise in the design and conduct of clinical trials; she has an MSc in clinical trials from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a PhD from the University of Edinburgh.
